The North East Area Council welcomes John Marshall of London North Eastern Railway, to come and talk to members about the introduction of their new Azuma trains.
Hitachi are building a brand new fleet of trains that will transform services on the East Coast Main line. There will be 23 Class 800 bi-mode trains, and 42 class 801 electric trains; both types will have 5- and 9-carriage versions. The new trains will enable LNER to run more frequent and faster services, as well as introduce new routes.
This event will be of particular relevance to those who are interested in developments in the rail passenger business, as well as those who are studying on one of the IRO courses.
Please note that you should aim for a prompt arrival, as the reception area at the Academy will not be manned after 17:30hrs.
Light refreshments kindly supplied by Tracsis.
No need to book, but please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any dietary or other requirements. Members are requested to bring along with them their membership cards.
